Pakistan now at the moment has qualify for the Champion’s trophy but the final stats would be confirmed after the tri nation series in Zimbabwe. The way Pakistan has played in Srilanka is evident that they are now really hard to stop. Pakistan has won the fourth ODI of the 5 match series against Srilanka and with that they have taken an unbeatable 3-1 lead over the hosts. Srilanka is losing all its charm and in the ODIs we have seen them falling apart in all three departments of the game. Srilankan captain Angelo Mathews won the toss decided the right thing and went out to bat. The start was horrible as Kaushal went in the first over to Irfan. Dilshan and Thirmane gave a boost and took the score over 100 runs with a decent run rate and then it all fell apart. Dilshan went and with him it appeared the whole Srilankan team went. The rest of the batsmen got the starts but they didn’t carry them forward. Thirmane remained the highest scorer with 90 runs. For Pakistan Irfan remained the leading wicket taker with 3 wickets. In the bowling the Srilankan bowlers were out casted by Pakistan’s top three. First Ahmad and Azhar took them down with some powerful blows to all corner of the ground and gave another strong opening partnership. Then later Hafeez joined in the party. Azhar fell out after making 33. Ahmad carried out and made 95 runs. It was sad to see him missing his hundred but it was one extra ordinary knock from the young man. Hafeez is becoming Mr.Consistant for Pakistan.
