Sunil Grover and Kiku Sharda who played Gutthi and Palak will take on various male and female avatars over the episodes.
The day to reunite with antics of Kapil’s crew is just around the corner
The Kapil Sharma Show which kicks off on April 23 with a live recording of a concert featuring a joyous jugalbandi between Kapil and Shah Rukh Khan held in Delhi earlier this week, will now move on to normal hour-long episodes. And here are details on who’s going to play what on the show. While the rest of the giggle brigade will slip into various avatars, Kapil will no longer play a journalist who invites various stars to his home.
Says a source from the team, “Kapil is now a jobless youngster and the rest of the team are his neighbours. The set will represent a whole mohalla rather than one home. Kapil will keep running into stars on the street.”
Interestingly, Ali Asgar, the drunken daadi from Comedy Nights With Kapil transforms into a blind naani on The Kapil Sharma Show. Says the source, “Asgar’s daadi act will disappear, since we can’t possibly repeat any of the original acts. He will now be playing a naani who is blind, but who can see a lot more than those with eyesight.”
Sunil Grover and Kiku Sharda who played Gutthi and Palak will take on various male and female avatars over the episodes. “The viewers want to see them as female characters. So they will play women. But also very prominent male characters,” says the source.
