Usama Mir was born in Sialkot and before the recent Cool and Cool T20 tournament held in Faisalabad there was hardly anyone knowing this little genius. Still he didn’t play much matches but the ones he has played he has been really impressive. He is a leg spinner and he played an integral part for his Sialkot Stallions to win the T20 championship recently. He bowled with an open heart and his confidence was evident with the way he maneuvered his varieties.
His best performance remained again the Abbottabad Falcons in which he bagged 4 wickets. He rattled the falcons with 3 wickets in one over and claimed himself to be the next big star in the cup.
His first wicket came of a genuine leg spin that pitched outside the off stump and spun back in sharply. The left handed batsman showed an open corridor between his bat and pad to let the ball pass through it and hit the stumps. The next batsman came down the track to hit him over the top but was completely outclassed by the Googly Usama presented to him and the ball turn and went under the bat to hit the stumps.
The third came in the form of an easy LBW when the batsman tried to sweep a straight ball that hit him almost as a Yorker and he was well in front of his three wickets.
The last one came of an outside edge that went in the air and landed in the form of an easy catch to the Sialkot captain Shoaib Malik.
