The mother of all matches is a few hours away now. Pakistan will kick off their Asia Cup campaign by playing against their arch rivals India today. India already has played a game against Bangladesh and they won it comprehensively.
Pakistan has a solid track record against team India in the Asia Cup and last time the two met Pakistan won the game by the most thrilling manners. Shahid Afridi who is now the captain of Pakistan team struck 2 consecutive sixes to win the game and push Pakistan into the finals.
At the moment of we look into the two teams, both have some strengths and weaknesses. India has a very strong batting line but we saw it crippled against Bangladesh. Indian bowling has always been their weak link.
Pakistan, on the other hand, has the opposite here. They lack strength in batting but their bowling contains names like Wahab, Amir and Irfan. This trio can make the game for Pakistan. The three fast bowlers are in some good form as well.
Wahab and Amir performed consistently well in the PSL. Irfan looked rusty in the early part of the tournament but at the end, he too gained his momentum back on. So Pakistan bowling line up is pretty dangerous.
If Pakistan bowls well in the game then definitely they have an edge over the Indian Batting line. India lost early wickets against Bangladesh and had the tigers taken Sharma’s catch at 21 then the results of that game could have been different at the end.
