Hashim Amla and Quinton De Kock have given South Africa the best opening partnership after so many matches. The two openers hit the fifties and the Mumbai crowd saw some of the best hitting in World T20 so far from the two.
First Gayle set the stadium on fire a couple of nights ago and today it was Hashim Amla and Quinton De Kock. Hashim Amla scored 22 runs in Chris Jordan over and it remained the most profitable one for the South African.
The first hit was over the covers as Amla slashed the ball hard and over the infield. It was wide outside the off stump and he rocked back and smashed this one. The next one was right on his pads and this time, Amla just flicked it down to the deep fine leg and the ball hit the fence in a flash.
The third ball was a slower one outside the off stump and this time, Amla played a delicate late cut and as the third man was inside the circle so he had to chance to catch the ball.
